Full Stack

Duties and Responsibilities

Development (75%) 

  • Undertake full stack development work for the Delic software platform

  • Apply design patterns and coding best practices, including testing and continuous delivery 

  • Document code and participate in code reviews

  • Participate in requirements gathering, backlog generation and sprint planning

  • Participate in application and system design

  • Anticipate dependencies and obstacles to your work

  • Apply creativity and ingenuity to computational challenges

  • Troubleshoot and correct technical issues and bugs

 

Communications (15%)

  • Describe your work in morning standup meetings, including anticipated dependencies and obstacles

  • Advise colleagues on technical solutions and best practices 

  • Assist in presentations on the technical work of the team 

 

Training and Career Development (10%)

  • Participate in regular performance and professional development reviews 

  • Take advantage of appropriate training opportunities as these arise, in order to keep up to date with relevant skills and developments 

 

Essential skills and experience

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Javascript (preferably Node.js and React)

  • Experience with Automated Deployment and Continuous Integration (preferably AWS CloudFormation, SAM, and BitBucket Pipelines) 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns

  • Demonstrable knowledge of security and privacy concerns and secure coding practices

  • Ability to work on own initiative while also being a team player

  • A creative, flexible, and open-minded approach to technical problem solving

  • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with both technical and non-technical collaborators

  • Passion for design and usability

Highly desirable skills and experiences 

  • Experience working with GraphQL, preferable Apollo 

  • Experience building Serverless Applications, preferably AWS Lambda and SAM

  • Experience with Graph databases, preferably Neo4J

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Python, preferably building API's

  • Experience working on eCommerce platforms

  • Experience with architecting applications on AWS

 

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience with Machine Learning and Musical Feature Extraction

  • Experience with Blockchain, distributed ledgers and smart contracts 

  • Experience processing microtransactions

  • Experience scaling applications and maintaining applications at scale

  • Familiarity of the music industry and copyright 

  • Strong interest in Music and the arts in general
